With a PC console hybrid for Xbox, hopefully this wouldn’t cost $1k but $500-800 with the option to upgrade the GPU and CPU at our personal preference

Going the 3D0 route by making developer inspired consoles . Just give me a 1000 dollar PC console Hybrid. Don’t cut no corners . Give us a beast day one. Stop the mid cycle refreshes.

  14. @alterbr33d on March 6, 2025 at 1:56 pm

I’ve heard rumors that they might allow the use of Xbox One and Xbox Series game discs or console digital distributions to be played natively on Xbox OS or the Xbox app on existing Windows PCs if they meet certain criteria. I would be excited for that, especially if they allow more resolution options. It might even include the official Xbox 360 emulator.

  15. @Blank55600 on March 6, 2025 at 1:57 pm

    Pass.

Likely selling both consoles to pay for pc upgrades

  16. @davidframe1613 on March 6, 2025 at 1:58 pm

Buying a next-gen Xbox would be wasting their money. My series x doesn’t struggle to play any game that is out now, we still waiting on next-gen games. Only reason to buy next gen is if there is something new to offer and a new Xbox console is not going to offer anything of value and have no exclusive games also so it’s probably best for Xbox to just quit making consoles at this point. I mean even as an Xbox fan I don’t know anybody wants to buy a next-gen Xbox at this point and especially with that horrible UI with ads on it. Pay $500 for a console pay for game pass and still have ads. And really no next-gen games PlayStation’s not much better but why would we want a new console??

  17. @daryllhaynes5422 on March 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm

They are gunna have to fix the hacking and all the scripts they use to find this anywhere enlightening to anyone.

  20. @allanallen1835 on March 6, 2025 at 2:02 pm

xbox should use steam and pc and also have an addon opption of gfx card connection so you can buy IF you want more gfx fedelity at a cost you choose to pay extra. if by joining forces they only mean with streaming then no,never, unless you have an actual time machine that way will always result in latency.

  21. @Hating_Friends on March 6, 2025 at 2:04 pm

It will come down to native steam support and wither or not I’ll need game pass to play games online

  22. @massimoc.558 on March 6, 2025 at 2:04 pm

What game is that at 5:35 ???

  23. @PrimeJuggernaut on March 6, 2025 at 2:04 pm

No way would i ever pay 1k for a console there are people who can afford to waist 1k and then there are ones you cant

  24. @DzR1591 on March 6, 2025 at 2:08 pm

so its basically a pc tower with lots of restrictions is all I gathered

  25. @Krobusss on March 6, 2025 at 2:10 pm

Sony’s OS is trash and a trash fire. I don’t see how gamers are so loyal to their brand due to this. The ideal solution would be for M.$ and Sony to team up and Microsoft handles the OS and online portion and Sony handles the game division for the most part with the best previously Xbox exclusives now a part of the PlayStation brand.

  27. @steveavecillas1114 on March 6, 2025 at 2:13 pm

  28. @Ambivalentrook5 on March 6, 2025 at 2:13 pm

If I go back to PC for gaming, it will be for something like what Bee-link mini is doing. ❤really enjoy the boxes, hardware, software, and just the cool factor. I seriously have almost lost the joy and adventure in console’s. Ready to go back to where I started before atari, Nintendo, and all that. Has been a blast though.

  29. @anonymouselite7657 on March 6, 2025 at 2:15 pm

this is single handedly the dumbest idea i ever heard. p.s. an xbox gamer

  30. @The_labyrinth_of_the_Asylum on March 6, 2025 at 2:18 pm

if they release a console that it’s cheap like the series s beside of the 1000 dollar one it’s all good

  31. @yinavali on March 6, 2025 at 2:20 pm

Or just make it so you can buy a chip and put it on a computer…

  32. @ryansgale22 on March 6, 2025 at 2:20 pm

It is called a Computer WOW and it already exists.

  33. @colteastwood on March 6, 2025 at 2:21 pm

Would you buy a $1000 Super Powered Console?

  34. @felipetejeda7545 on March 6, 2025 at 2:21 pm

Why would I pay a thousand dollars for an Xbox “PC” just to buy gamepass to play online when I could get a regular PC for the same price.

  35. @DavidDrawsComics on March 6, 2025 at 2:25 pm

ok everyone, XBOX is going to be a PC.
    thats whats happening.
and PC is able to be a console like SteamDeck is.

  37. @dennisrogers6786 on March 6, 2025 at 2:27 pm

Keep hearing the same thing each generation. No new games just remakes

  38. @youtubeshadower4039 on March 6, 2025 at 2:27 pm

    Okay, now we’re getting somewhere
All they would have to do is make all PC mods capable to run on Xbox OS and we have a winner the Xbox, PlayStation and PC wars would end for the most part the rest would still come down to oh my PC has a 5090 or whatever🤷 even though you know at least currently with that series there’s 4 or 5 games that kinda need it lol
Also, I guess having better graphics and maybe a few other things would mean more space for mods on games, but apart from that that’s whether the argument would kinda end

  39. @DzR1591 on March 6, 2025 at 2:27 pm

so its basically a pc tower with lots of restrictions is all I gathered

  40. @KingMoeJo on March 6, 2025 at 2:30 pm

Hey Colt! If three companies start producing their own versions of Xbox/PC hybrids, I’m concerned there will be a major drawback. It could lead to the same fragmentation issues seen in the Android ecosystem. With countless Android devices, each having its own unique specifications, app developers struggle to optimise their software for every model. This is why apps generally perform better on iPhones, where a unified hardware and software ecosystem ensures consistency. The gaming industry could face similar challenges if multiple Xbox/PC hybrids emerge, each with different hardware configurations. This fragmentation might impact game quality, as developers would need to optimise their games for a variety of specs, leading to inconsistencies and performance issues. We’ve already seen this with multiplatform games like Star Wars Jedi, Outlaws, Hogwarts and others, where developers had to release multiple patches to make the games run smoothly on different consoles. If history is any indication, adding more hardware variations could create even bigger hurdles for game optimisation.

My biggest problem is when anyone says AI generated frames equates to performance. That is a full on bold face lie! That is a out right cop out! Performance is true frames generated with low latency. I would never pay 1k for a piece of crap system at that can only hit high frame rates by generating fake frames. That is unreal.

  47. @TechMaxPCTech on March 6, 2025 at 2:43 pm

Seems like many people in this comment section is not grasping the total concept of why this is a great idea. Starters lets do the obvious this allows tiers of gamers to play games in many ways, from the budget gamers, to the people who want to get into the PC space but do not want to spend 9 grand on a gaming PC to have the top of the line. This opens up having more players for multiplayer games (which for some is a good thing). This also allows Xbox gamers who do not PC game a new window into Steam games specially VR (Which Xbox currently does not offer) This allows those who wanted some of the PlayStation games (like Spider-Man, Helldivers 2 ect) to play those games without having to buy a PlayStation. Add in the Fact that PC games a lot of them allow Mods, which extends the life and playability to older games to far surpass it’s shelf life and is one of the biggest reasons why most console gamers finally bite the bullet and get into PC gaming. This opens the door for people to have a game catalog of 50k+ games they can play while not worrying that a new console is on the horizon and this one they have now will lose game support, and no new games will be available for it anymore. Unlike a Console a PC can far outlive it’s generation there is still people who have 1080’s and 1660 supers playing modern games (While of course not the best looking or feeling experience) But new games come out for PC all the time that are not graphic juggernauts and will play fine on older cards while once a console generation is dead no new games will ever be made for it thus needing to buy a new console to play newer games and a lot of times not having full support of older titles on the new.

  48. @noonekennedy1282 on March 6, 2025 at 2:43 pm

No, but Id by a 1000 upgradable PC and play Xbox games on it.

  49. @nwcanuck5069 on March 6, 2025 at 2:43 pm

And we are full circle back to owning a PC! XBOX doesn’t want to be a hardware all in one console company. They are a software company and can’t compete with Sony at 60 million units to thier 30 million. The point of a console is the software is written to the spec of the current console, saving the end user the hassel of drivers and staying current with hardware. Some people like that model and they own PCs, the rest own consoles. I own both XBOX and PS5, Sony just does a better job when it comes to price of games, free monthly games a relevant titles. Just my opinion.
