The problem with the scribe is that the Amazon software is embedded right into the homepage and can’t be removed which makes it difficult to use in both business and class or at least you can’t be 100% focused on business or class

    The perfect combo?
For taking notes, the reMarKable 2 is simply perfect because it was designed for that. To read, I suggest you orient yourself on the Kindle Paperwhite 7" e-reader.

I need both and am very happy using them.

Will stick with my iPad Air M2 and pen. No intrusive Amazon and links seamlessly with my phone and computers.

that scribe is half a century behind in lag.

I am missing info about the options to add e.g. calendars to the scribe – and other templates… Without calendar templates I would decide for the remarkable2 (which I use for a year now)

I have had a remarkable 2 for about 2 months and already had to get it replaced via their returns warranty process because of screen issues. They seem to be fundamentally flawed because they get magnetized easily, Google it and you will see loads of posts and yt clips on people trying to fix it. Mine had a row of pixels about 1cm high that stopped working. That said when its working it is nice to write on and I like the zero clutter,, could have done with a back light like the paper pro though.

I have the remarkable 2 for a year now. Despite all the missing functions, e.g., the background light, I am happy with it. I was planning to upgrade to the new version, but the price is "too" high. I was also looking for a solution for my books on Kindle. The Scribe might be an adequate solution for both problems.

Also worth keeping in mind that the first scribe and the new one have the same exact innards and screen size. The difference is entirely aesthetic. The new software features are coming to the old scribe in an update. Get the old scribe, save the money

More expensive than ipad pro with M1 or M2 chip ones. !! Omg.

The ppi of remarkable 2 is much lower at 226, compared to 300 ppi . But they are both overpriced so as tk consider an ipad. Their correct price is around 75, max 100 dollars.

I don’t think that one is really better than the other, it just depends on your needs and how you plan to use it. Remarkable 2 seem to be better for writers and artists, while the Kindle Scribe 2 is more for a reader who like to write take notes in their books and would be really good for students, bible study ect.

As kindle book reader, my choice is clear. Most ebooks are bought on amazon and the remarkable doesn’t support that

whoa, no backlight? Thank you for the review – I’m going with Scribe.
