Worth pointing out that Asus is bundling Monster Hunter Wilds with the ROG Delta 2 on Amazon as of March.
I’m sticking with my Maxwell, but seems like a better value if you were going to buy that game.
I have add a new headphone to my collection. The Turtle Beach Atlas Air.
It is really good, after the patches fixed some weird stuff. I often use it, i keep a rotation: Maxwell or Atlas Air, depends how on the day, on console and PC.
Also have an Inzone H9, i mostly use it on PC where i can EQ it to fix some wired stuff on the bass.
I’m a total scrub who absolutely loves his Astro A50X, so it’s cool to see it rate highly in the eyes of a real expert, too. After juggling multiple headsets on multiple systems for years, it’s so nice to just hit one button to hop from one system to the next.
I love new headphones 🎧
"Gaming" headsets are dead to me. For the amount of money they ask for you’d be better served spending it on a pair of amazing IEMs or even solid audiophile cans with much better sound quality.
ROG Delta II is an amazing headset. One of my all time favorites!
Where is cloud 3 wireless?
Can you also do one for wired headsets next?
So i play primarily on the Playstation 5 and have gone through tons of headsets and so far my go to are my Razer Kaira pro wireless and Audeze Maxwell’s, for emersion my Razer Kaira’s hands down and for crisp detailed sound the Audeze Maxwell’s. Love these 2 specifically for customization on the PS5. The downside on the Audeze Maxwells is complete lack of much bass even if you crank up the bass on the EQ and very poor directional sound as I play mostly FPS games titles. I have not tried the Arctis Nova Pro yet and now that they are on sale was thinking about it but don’t really see any reviews on directional sound quality which is very important also since I’m on PS5 not PC at moment can you customize EQ settings on base or is it only preloaded EQ choices as again no access to PC for software to access EQ customization? Thanks to anyone who can help.
I was using the Super Bass EQ preset on my AZ80’s when that bass tone hit! I felt it in my heart❤
I guess when you have to pick the best from a bucket of turds.. Dont buy "Gaming" ANYTHING.
I think the actual look of the AW headset is a big pro, it’s the only gaming headset I can use in public or at work without looking like an idiot lol.
Do you have any suggestions for around the ear headphones? I got big ass ears and don’t like the pressure sitting on them, like the Astros
Wired video coming soon ?
Funny thing about the Astros and Arctis Pros… A handful of my friends have the Arctis headset and the mic quality sounds way better than the 1 friend that has the Astros. He went through all of the settings and they all sounded worse than the Arctis microphone at default settings. Not sure why in this video the Astros mic sounds better. I heard their mics through a recording and Discord and the Arctis sounded better. This is odd lol.
Would you recommend Beyerdynamic 1990/1770 mk2 for gaming? I would loooove to see you do a comparison. I can’t decide if I want an open ear or not. I’ve used nova pro’s for the last 3-4 years and I’m ready to experience a difference. That being said, I use a blue yeti for a mic, so a mic isn’t necessary for me. Great review!
Been using the Steel Series Nova Pro’s since release. No issues and working great.. batteries are starting to show their age, but they have been great. I hope they have Nova Pro 2 coming soon.
Is the base station the only difference between nova pro wireless and nova 7p? So there’s no sound difference and the headset is exactly the same?
Tia
The razer haptics are actually worse now than the og nari ultimate. It’s eq does not differentiate from punchy Bass to mids. The EQ of their past headset was smarter and so it worked better as a haptic than a bass Shaker like this one
One thing that I haven’t seen a single reviewer mention and it’s honestly baffling is the sidetone issues on the Maxwells. Regardless of whether or not the mic is connected, you will receive a constant hiss and crackle through the headset when sidetone is enabled, making it virtually useless. I just bought them 2 days ago and I’m in love with how they sound but if sidetone/mic monitoring is important to at all then I would seriously reconsider as it degrades the otherwise stellar audio quality.
Atlas Air is the GOAT.
I think my Maxwell dongle died…. Can get no wireless.. only Bluetooth…
Maybe you misspoke during the steel series review portion… but the audeze maxwell mic sounded a lot better than the steel series 🤔
I was surprised the turtle beach 700’s gen 3’s didn’t make the honorable mentions for the price recently on sale for 145
I’m still using my original, almost 11 years old, Sennheiser GAME ONE headset, i’ve yet to find anything that feels as good as them and I still get compliments on how good the mic sounds. I’ve tried other more modern headsets and the mics sound awful compared to the old GAME ONEs. The Kraken V4 sounds shockingly bad on that default preset. It’s funny, the best sounding mic in this video wasn’t even one of the featured headests, the BlackShark V2 Pro sounds better than all the other headsets in this video, I’ve avoided Razer products for years but just found a new open box set for £115 so i’ll see how they are in a couple days!
How does the HS80 Max compare to these?
Just from your in-video sample, the Maxwell mix sounds good and much better than the Arctic Nova.
AceZone #1
i gotta say, this video gives great points. good agenda but especially in the comparision and ranking part it’s kinda lacking editing. i can barely follow your points and some text on screen that sums up your points you give, which again are totally valid, would help with the overall understanding and makes it easier to follow up on those pro’s and con’s
just wish the base station also came in white
First time watching one of your videos, very informative for sure. btw sweet beard dude
So as a console gamer that dont have a pc or even a laptop I have the nova pro wireless and the 7x sound was ok on both mic was also OK nothing special I then got the turtle beach stealth pro way better in my opinion with sound and mic quality I recently got the astro a50 gen 5 I think they are the best so far one u eq them plus the app for phone is a good thing to have as for the audeze Maxwell I got to try them before the astro coz I was originally going to get them I thought the astro sound better tbh but the strangest thing is when I game on my ps5 pro I was going to get the Maxwell for that but the pulses wireless elite sound better then the Maxwell then I found out that SIE owns audeze and they use the same drivers in the pulses elite
Can u connect these to your phone at the same time ? Like the pulse elite headset
Really happy with my SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, as I was with my Siberia P800. No quality issues and they’re quite comfortable to use even on my small head. I would probably go with the Nova Pro Wireless just because of this track record, plus they really seem like a great product.
I am rocking Arctis Nova Pro wireless with Joe’s StealthZ pads and its incredible. Though you have to tweak the EQ to your liking and microphone somewhat mediocre which not much of an issue if you use desktop mic.
THIS IS THE ONE THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
The pads for the Artic Pros are so damn good.
I was interested in Arctis nova pro wireless but I had such a bad experience using Arctis pro wireless that it was hard for me to go back to that brand. They were like $320 bucks at the time too and that price for entry/mid tier audio and non-existent directional audio was a slap to the face. I even RMA’d them thinking I had a bad product, new ones were exactly the same.
Senn HD505 review pls!
I own the Maxwell and the mic sounds way better than that…

Could you do a wired gaming headset version for us the ones that play long hours. Thanks
We’re back to gaming headsets now?
The haptic feedback is a cool idea. I like being able to being fully immersed while playing a game. Sometimes play on keyboard and mouse just doesn’t hit like it does with a dual sense controller.
I personally use the Blackshark V2 Pros and being that I only spent $150 for them, i can’t justify anything else for how they perform.
can you do wired peripherals next?
After using Gamebuds i sold my headsets, the comfort is all the reason i need to swap to them earbuds
WFH, mic is critical for me. I love the Razer Blackshark v2 pro still! Surprised not to see it here.
Oh… THAT King of the Hill. I thought you were gonna whip out the propane and propane accessories.
Can you let us know more about your Truthear Zero + FIIO K11 combo recommendation? Thanks!
